For over 20 years I have been providing piano lessons for children across the local Reading community. I welcome all ages and genders and I provide a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere, with lessons tailored to specific age groups or to suit each individual child or pupil. I offer both group classes and specialist ono-on-one piano tuition, and work with parents to ensure their child is comfortable and safe when it comes to exploring the piano.

Early years introduction to piano
I use the Zoltan Kodaly method of teaching music to children from as young as 6 weeks old. This is done in a secure group setting within my home in Reading. It involves children and parents using rhythm, rhyme and musical games to help physical, emotional and social development as well as language skills. We explore sound, pitch and hand gestures to make babies and toddlers aware of the world and the beautiful music around them. I can accommodate up to 8 parents at a time. Piano lessons for children in Reading
When it comes to piano lessons for children, I understand the importance of keeping children enthusiastic and engaged. I can offer individual lessons for children aged 3 and upwards. A standard lesson is just 30 minutes long and I encourage parents to stay, watch and participate to help their child learn. I also encourage parents to learn songs and can provide helpful tips to encourage piano practice at home too.

Piano grading and taking piano to the next level
Piano is my passion and I love to share it with children of all ages, I believe that it is a wonderful hobby and can take children far. I’m happy to provide relaxed lessons that children enjoy, and I can also provide music theory lessons, grading and exams for children that want to take their piano playing and musical education to the next level. All pupils are tested through the ABRSM Royal Schools of Music Boards Association, and I am able to provide invigilation for school exams too. My lessons take place in Reading, and I welcome pupils from Reading, Pangbourne, Theale, Woodley and Earley.

Free taster session available
At Rose Cam Piano Lessons, you are welcome to bring your child to a free taster session. As a piano teacher with over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages, I understand that finding the perfect fit between teacher and student is important. I want to share my passion for the piano and for music and tailor all classes to suit the child attending. You will also receive a free pen and tote bag at your taster session, and we can work together to determine your child’s goals when it comes to exploring and playing the piano.
